simplify

that is my motto for this year.
simplify my life, in any way that i can.
so, first to go?
this blog.
i know, it's sad.
this blog got me started in the blogging world.
and i love this blog.
but it's time to let it go, as i don't do it justice.
i used to be able to post so often on here, but keeping up with 2 blogs has taken it's toll on me.
i will still be posting over on this blog.
so visit me there.
it will be a combination of mama stuff, crafty stuff and just all around fun stuff.
i will no longer be posting my scrapbooking pages on my blog, but instead over in my SIS gallery as well as my CMK gallery.
no need to post the pages in 3 different places.
simplify people, simplify.
so, if you still want to keep up with me (i promise, you won't be disappointed) then join me over here...make sure to update your google readers too!
thanks friends!
i'm closing the comments on this blog, but make sure to let me know that you've stopped by on my other one!

12/25/08

merry christmas.

hope you have a merry christmas!
you won't see me around these parts for a little while...we are now officially homeowners! we signed the papers yesterday morning...but we have to be moved in by tuesday, so i've got lots of cleaning/painting/moving/and so on to do in the next week...
i'll post pictures soon!
have a great holiday friends!!

12/17/08

just busy.

i used the CMK kit for these 2 layouts...i have loved being on this team, and am sad that my term is almost up...it's so nice to get goodies on my doorstep every month!
lisa is having a design team call...if you love getting to work with free goodies every month, and want to work with a fab boss/team, then check it out here!

sibling love.

we've had a busy week playing with grandparents...they went back to KS today, so now it's back to the daily grind with us.
i have so much to get done in the next couple weeks...
here's a LO using the CMK kit this month.
fabulous kit, friends.
fabulous kit.

i punched out the paper with my stampin' up punch...i really had no direction with this LO...just kind of did what i did, and this is how it turned out!
love it!
have a great night...

the dozens

i can't tell you how honored i was when i got an email from dana, asking me to guest design for the dozens this month!
what?! that kit club rocks.
i tried out (way back when) for their team, and of course didn't make it...i figured it would be way out of my league...so, you can imagine how surprised i was when she asked me to join along this month!
so fun!
anyways, this is some goodness i made with the kit...

this little doo-dad is a "kindness" cube...each side has some sort of kind thing i could do that day.
just inspires me to remember to be kind.
and this little guys makes me smile :)

loooooooooove this layout.
all hadley wants for christmas is a barbie...
and she makes sure to tell you all the time :)

and one last one of the hadley bean.

anywho, thanks dana for letting me play along...
i had a blast with the kit!

where the heck have i been.

well, i am alive and here...i took a blogging break from this blog.
i have a family blog that i upkeep as well, and that took priority this thanksgiving week and weekend.
i have been busy, busy, busy though!
getting christmas cards together.
making some cute aprons.
editing lots and lots of photo sessions.
here's a few of those sessions.
some babes:

some families:

some seniors:

some more families:
you can view more of my photog work here.

and here's a layout using the work in progress december kit!
i won't take so long to come back, next time!
have a great thursday ya'll.

have a happy thanksgiving!

WIP christmas kit.

i got to work with the work in progress christmas kit, this month...
but, i'm going to show you how i made layouts that weren't christmas themed!
this kit was very versatile.
here's one...

i love this layout of hadley...and the pictures are so cute.
she poses almost anytime i get the camera out...therefore, she's my little poser.
the buttons did not come in the kit...they were from my stash.
i am also so excited cause i've been asked to guest design for the dozens this month!
have you seen their kits? wow. they rock.
they are chocked full of yummy vintage-y stuff and lots of color!
i was so honored to be asked to GD for them.
i'll post my projects this weekend!
anyways...do you have big thanksgiving plans?
it will be our first christmas (edited---i mean thanksgiving!) away from my family...sad, but we have plans to eat with some friends from church, so it'll still be a fun day...even though we'll be missing family!
hope you have a wonderful holiday!

last 2.

here are my last 2 layouts using the jenni bowlin product over at CMK this month.
i have to tell ya, i am so lucky to get to work with such great product every month!
sometimes, i just have to stop and remind myself that...
this product was no exception...i loved it.

so, i want to make myself an apron.
anyone have any good patterns that i can download (preferably for free)?
thanks!
it's fall time, and i've been in a baking mood.
and no baking is complete without a cute apron.

11/12/08

senior!

real quick post today friends...
a quick layout using more jenni bowlin goodies.

this is my sister and her bff...i took some senior shots for them a while back.
we got a ton of fun ones from that session!
hey, thanks for all your kind comments...i love reading them, and if i haven't gotten by your blog yet, know that i'm on my way!
thanks :)

11/10/08

give-a-way

do you LOVE baby legs?
well, if so, then head on over to baby snazz for a chance to win 20 pairs of baby legs!
ah, that's like heaven for me.

11/9/08

tutu pictures!

i took hadley bean out for her 3 year old portraits today...
i'm lovin' the tutu...as was hadley :)
enjoy!

11/8/08

we got to work with jenni bowlin goodies this month, over at CMK.

this particular paper, was my favorite...it had the numbers already printed on it...i knew i would do a "top 10" list of something...hadley bean ended up being the one who scored this page :)

mr. anderson and i saw coldplay last night!
no words can even describe how cool of a show they put on...
no words.
let's just say...i'm still dreaming of them.
have a great sunday, friends.

11/6/08

things that make you go hmm.

is that song stuck in your head now?
sorry 'bout that.
here's another layout using the WIP kit...just some random things that make me go "hmm."
like the quaker oats man in the background.
kind of creepy.
anywho.
in other news.
i've finished previewing the twilight soundtrack and still can't decide if i should buy it.
any thoughts?
i welcome any feedback.

11/5/08

did you know...

that i'm going to this!
oh yes.
on friday.
counting down...

11/3/08

simple card.

okay, i really liked my WIP kit this month...
it had a great die-cut sticker sheet in it, which makes creating cards, pretty dang easy (for me, at least).

such a simple card.
anywho, thanks to a blogging friend, i found an AWESOME site this morning--
check it out here.
if you want to make something cute and crafty that you've been seeing, you can probably find a tutorial over there.
such a great blog.
and i almost forgot...check out kristina's blog again for some more sneak peeks of my family sessions...these ones are all keith and i, but oh my! i love them!
and yup, that steamy picture in her header is us too ;)

10/31/08

hallo-weenie.

i have nothing halloween related to post today...but i do have a layout...
here's one of my projects from the WIP kit this month.
that's my momma, her hubs and my sister in the picture...i'm so excited cause momma and hubs are coming into town today!!
i'm taking a cleaning break right now...
as we speak, i've enlisted the little people to dusting and cleaning up their rooms.
it always takes them forever, so i've given them about 3 hours to get the jobs done.

aaaaaand.
we got family pics done the other night.
kristina and i swapped photo sessions.
you can view the ones i took of her family over at:
here is one of the fabulous ones she got.
it was not a pleasant experience...all i wanted was one good one of all of us.
and i got it.

you can click on her name and view some of the others on her blog!
have a happy halloween!

10/28/08

inspiring.

i love when i see things online that make me go "oh...i love that"
here are some things that i saw in my google reader this morning...
this pumpkin decorating was on a blog, but originally it is from better homes and garden.
how cute is this?!

i loved when i saw on soulemama's blog this morning, her creative way to store dress up clothes.
how clever.
our kids dress up clothes are wadded up and thrown into a big bucket.
and they always seem to want that one costume that is on the very end of the bucket, so yes, we throw everything out to get to it....
anyways, i digress.
this is so much better.
and prettier.
and i of course had a smile from ear to ear when i saw my good friends blog this morning.
she loves to put her little people in pumpkins around this time of the year.
and it's so cute.

what is inspiring you today?

10/27/08

my lil' baby leggers.

i ordered some baby legs for milo...but hadley and caedmon snatched them up and wore them to church.
these things are just about the handiest things i've ever seen.
it's a little cool here in the mornings...so, caedmon wore them on his arms...while hadley wore hers on her legs.
at the end of church, it was too warm for them, so they pulled them right off.
easy peasy.

the picture is blurry, but i love it.
hope your days are going good...
